The HETS-LH™ Expandable Liner Hanger
The HETS Liner Hanger (LH) is an enabling technology for slim well constructions. It is suited specifically to tight clearance liner-to-casing completions and DWC (drilling with casing) applications. It provides flexibility in the casing system selection since hanger dimensions and materials are easily customizable. It is robust in construction and rotatable when being deployed. Due to the relatively high expansion ratio possible, it provides more clearance than alternative systems and therefore reduces the ECD, which can be critical in mature developments.
The expandable HETS LH design creates a slimmer connection, which has bi-directional load-bearing capability. The hanger has synergies with an overall slim well philosophy and increases the options for contingency drilling liners. The HETS solution gives a hanger connection that withstands significant tensile and compression loads, while the fully encapsulated elastomer seals achieve an effective high pressure (e.g. 5,000psi V0 rated) gas seal.
