READ has a dedicated Development and Engineering group that provides a range of services to our customers including:

Project management

Computer Aided Design (CAD)

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) – with dedicated FEA specialists to investigate behaviour of materials, optimize products designs and perform failure mode analysis.

ISO qualification testing – 13679, 14310 or customer specific requirements

Engineering support to operations through technical support and continued development of tools and products.

Production management
READ has and continues to work closely with a number of key major Oil and Gas clients to produce solutions to downhole challenges, be it in cased hole logging, completion equipment, seismic services or well repair.
Typically the development projects will be sponsored by an Oil and Gas company, thus ensuring that a market for the technology exists once the development has been completed.
